We are excited for the 2015 Tri-State Child Care Providers Conference. This will be our 26th year and again we expect to have 300 participants. This year’s event is Saturday October 3, 2015 at The Marina Inn in South Sioux City, Nebraska.
Please consider being an exhibitor at this year’s conference. The conference gives you an opportunity to reach a number of providers in a short period of time with your product or services. Tables will be made available to you for $40 per table in the main floor lobby. Set up will be from 6:30 am until 7:30 am. (Tables in the speaker room will not be available this year.)
Please return your completed form along with your check payable to UNL Extension. To be included in the conference handout list of exhibitors, we need your information and check by September 11, 2015. Your application will need to include your business name, contact person and business phone number. If you want an e-mail or web site included on the participant handout of exhibitors, please include that on the application.

Free Child Car Seat Check held by Northwest Nebraska Community Action Partnership

This is a community awareness event. On site certified technicians will educate caregivers about proper car seat installation.

Are you concerned about your child’s development?
South Sioux City Community Schools provides free screenings to children ages birth to 5 years of age. The screen will include the areas of overall development, speech/language, motor, hearing and health.
Please allow up to 30 minutes for your screening, no appointment necessary.

PCIT of Siouxland is an organization that utilizes the treatment of Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) for conduct-disordered young children that improves the quality of the parent-child relationship and changing parent-child interaction patterns. In PCIT, parents are taught specific skills to establish a nurturing and secure relationship with their child while increasing their child’s prosocial behavior and decreasing negative behavior.
Who: All kids, ages 14 and under!
What: Bike Ride for School Supplies
Where: Cardinal Park South Sioux City, NE (Kids register at the shelter in the Arboretum on Cardinal Drive. Registration begins at 5:00 pm)
When: July 21, 2015 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm
This event is put on by the SSC Optimist Club. Optimist members will have a bike safety check station to make sure your bike is working properly and is safe to ride.
Riders will ride through a course with four safety stations on the bike trail. After completing the ride, bikers will be given a free bag of school supplies.
